Agency: Code and Theory

Challenge

With 16% of people living with a disability — and Vrbo’s average group size being five — it's likely that someone staying at a Vrbo property will have a temporary or permanent disability. However, fewer than 1% of Vrbo’s listings are accessible, leaving a significant portion of customers underserved. To better accommodate guests living with disabilities, Vrbo set out to educate and inspire hosts to make simple accessibility upgrades. The goal: Unlock the $60 billion accessible travel market — increasing bookings, driving loyalty and making a meaningful impact.

Solution

Code and Theory crafted a B2B and B2C marketing campaign, including a downloadable infographic, social launch and a dynamic landing page, transforming static data into engaging digital experiences to educate and motivate hosts. By showcasing low-effort and low-cost accessibility upgrades, Code and Theory empowered hosts to make their rental properties more inclusive, supported by an immersive guided home tour and training modules that brought a static infographic asset to life.
